Summer Adventure Day 11

I drove the car and trailer! OK, only 6 feet so we could gas up, but I sat behind the wheel and drove the car while it was hooked up to the trailer!

It was sad to see all the dead trees as we headed east. Pine bark beetles have laid waste to lots of trees. No wonder forest fires have destroyed so much.

We've learned some things

Don't plan full days of driving. Even though we are comfortable with Calgary to Vancouver drives in one go, doing it with an extra 20 feet of trailer is just too much.

I need to limit my need to support small businesses. I have a lot of work ahead of me if i want to use up the quilting fabrics I bought!

We did a quick drive by at Thread and Paper in Salmon Arm. I really do have a plan for at least one bundle of fat quarters!

We're on the last stretch with a night at the Revelstoke RV Park then home!
