Summer Adventure Day 6

Our second day at Sasquatch Provincial Park was great.

We took a drive to Chiliwack and visited

Cozy Cottons Quilting. For a smaller space, they've really packed in the quilting fabrics and supplies. The classroom was roomy and it looked like a group of kiddos were busy sewing.

I bought some Lori Holt fabrics. Not my usually selection but these spoke to me for a project I'm working on.

Back at our campsite we walked down to the lake and Jerry and the girls took a swim.

The water was lovely and warm and I would have swam if I'd had my suit on!

One of the goals of this trip was to take my trusty little Featherweight and finish the blocks and hopefully the top of the Arabesque Zigzag quilt. We've got an extra power pack for when we are off grid. It worked like a charm!

I layed the blocks out on a spare sheet at our campsite and thought about how I'd actually join the blocks into rows and the rows into the top.

Since this quilt is 9 blocks wide by 9 blocks high, I decided to make giant 9-patch units with the blocks.

Then I'll sew the 9-patch units together!

We've had a lovely 2 nights here. We'd recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind no wifi or power!

We're off next to the island with the last ferry sailing.

Let the adventure continue!
