Summer Adventure Day 7
Well that sucks! Day 7 didn't post and I deleted it. Now I have to re-create our Friday adventures! Sheesh!! It was a well written post too! So here goes ...
This was the view from my bed the past 2 mornings in Sasquatch Provincial Park. It was very quiet and peaceful.
After a good breakfast that inxlcluded home made bacon, we packed up to head further west.
This leaf on the gravel caught my eye as we were tidying up and packing up. It may become inspiration for a future project.
Our first stop was at Chitter Chatter Fabrics in Abbotsford. Thank you Kathy B for the recommendation to visit.
I could have spend a lot of time and a lot of money here but limited myself to just one piece. This is just one of many rooms full of fabrics and inspiration!
I'm hoping this piece will work well as the border. It reminds me of the view from my trailer window.
After some quick trips to Costco and Walmart we looked for a place to settle and rest for the remained of the day. We tried a number of places but nothing was suitable so we drove around some more! We did find a spot but by then, we were all hot and tired and just wanted to get on the ferry to Nanaimo.
Heres where the FUN begins!
We got to the terminal in time for an earlier sailing and could go earlier on standby but if we didnt get on we'd lose our 10:45pm reservation.
So we left Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal and drove up to Squamish. This would have been the perfect place to spend the day.
We gassed up and drove back to the ferry terminal only to find out we were 10 feet longer than we had registered. We had to pay extra and then had to join the stand by line. Many prayers were said!!!!!
GOD WAS SO GOOD!!!!! We were right at the front of the ferry!
And one of the first vehicles off!!!!
Lessons learned.
Measure carefully!
Planning is better than not
So we safely arrived at the in-laws and will be camping in their drive for the weekend.
Let the adventure continue!
